Activism, 2004-Style: Win a Prius!

My friend and colleague, Betsy Taylor, who heads the Center for a New American Dream, has created an activism campaign with a big, green carrot: a free 2005 Toyota Prius hybrid-electric automobile to whoever creates the best campaign slogan (10 words or less) to use with her group's effort to pressure auto manufacturers to deliver more hybrid electric vehicles to the U.S. market.

According to the Center's Web site:

We’re launching a campaign to convince auto companies to supply far more hybrids as soon as possible. In 2004, we’ve met with senior executives of every hybrid manufacturer to convey the growing consumer demand for this efficient technology. In response, Toyota has already ramped up production of its Prius but much more is needed. Next year, we'll follow up with every company, this time with your voices behind us. We need a slogan . . . that will capture the automakers' attention and inspire action.
